*SCENARIO CHANGE* They went and changed the release date for Echoes of the Overwatched from 10/26 to 11/9 so I was forced to change the scenario. Given the APL of this group we are ok to run a Tier 3-4 so I was able to change the scenario and stay in Season 3.

... even if the groups apl is 3, it's impossible for a character to up tier.... unless we are the minimum level... so I would have to use alex. He's my only on that falls in the range.

Ack! You are right, I forgot about that... hmmm I'll find a Tier 1-5 to use, we'll just have to leave Season 3.

OK, Now it's Murder on the Throaty Mermaid. Hopefully not to be changed again. It'll be nice to have a roleplay heavy session I think.

lol, I was totally about to say something about it.
There was some talk on the messageboards about it and when I checked it said the release date was next month.
Hard to play a scenario on Saturday that doesn't come out for another 3 weeks.

They're legal, Martial Artist Monk does not have an alignment restriction. We've been schooled by Boggle ;D BS they don't it as simple as looking at page 57 of the Pathfinder Core Rule book under Alignment: ANY LAWFUL

We've been schooled by Boggle ;D BS they don't (have alignment restrictions), it is as simple as looking at page 57 of the Pathfinder Core Rule book under Monk Alignment: Any Lawful. Barbarians page 31 Alignment: Any nonlawful. Pretty simple. We all like to make kickass characters but at least make a legal one. That's all.

d20pfsrd Martial Artist The martial artist pursues a mastery of pure martial arts without the monastic traditions. He is a master of form, but lacks the ability to harness his ki.
Alignment: A martial artist may be of any alignment.

I've linked the material where it clearly shows I can do this but apparently you don't believe me/the gm/everyone else who looked at the character so here's the Clipping for the Martial Artist Archetype from Ultimate Combat. Research before you rant. It's like you read 2 sentences on that whole subject and then leapt into this argument without thinking.

Cool, thanks for the source but you didn't have to be an asshole afterwords, Boggle.
However, I guess I didn't realize you were talking about an archtype called a martial artist while I was talking about every monk (classified as martial artist) since I've ever played dnd being Lawful (and core rules). I mean, really, isn't the term Martial Artist Monk just redundant?
Leave it to players to find ways to power-game and go around Core book rules. Leave it to gaming supplements to help them.

The Martial Artist archtype gives up the Monks Ki ability. So it really is no longer a "Monk", just a guy who can throw a punch well.

Dude, I wasn't trying to be an asshole I explain why it was legal, again. I can understand how at first it might seem strange for a barb/monk but someone linked the text from the archetype that said that any alignment was fine for them.
