Date and Scenario: 02/13/2012 - 02/14/2012 - Ruby Phoenix Tourn (Mod)
Scenario: Module
Title: Ruby Phoenix Tournament
Description:
A tournament-style adventure for 11th-level characters
Once every ten years, the cosmopolitan city of Goka on the eastern coastline of Tian Xia hosts the Ruby Phoenix Tournament on an island in the city's harbor. Infamous for its strange spectacles and exciting mix of fighting styles, the contest draws combatants from all over the world. Its winner gets his choice of a single item from the legendary treasury of an ancient spellcaster. But this year, not all who have come to compete do so out of respect for the traditions of battle or even out of greed for the reward. They seek instead nothing so much as red revenge!
The Ruby Phoenix Tournament is a tournament-style Pathfinder Module designed for 11th-level characters, written for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world's oldest RPG. The adventure serves as an ideal introduction to the folk and fighting styles of the lands of the Dragon Empires.
Levels
A player may use an existing Pathfinder Society character within 1 level of the module’s beginning level (11th). This means existing PCs of 10th, 11th, and 12th level are legal for play without modification.
Upgrading an existing PFS Character = Level 10
New PFS Character = Level 11
A player may also create an 11th-level version of an existing Pathfinder Society character for use in the module. This character may have up to 82,000 gp in total wealth, with no single item worth more than 41,000 gp. Such a character is considered to have no Prestige Award.
Only Existing PFS Characters at level 12 may play at Level 12
Conditions, Death, and Expendables
Whether playing one’s own PC or an alternate version of another character, no conditions (including death) carry beyond the end of a module. Likewise, any wealth spent or resources expended during the course of the adventure are considered unspent upon the module’s completion.
