As for uping the tier, I'm not sure we should be fighting lvl 9 enemies. At least those that can cast Black Tentacles. I realize she didn't have to roll a concentration check when we were near her so there's not a lot of tactics we can use against her and not even sure if we got attacks of opportunities and the saves were nasty. But even if we had a cleric of 6th lvl with Dispel Magic, they'd have to roll at least a 14 which isn't guaranteed. Then there was the traitor in the group (Chris ). Doesn't help when a faction task destroys the party. So, unless there's some middle ground tier, maybe we should stick to our own. We really need our true cleric back.

I think that one was meant to be a diplomacy situation. Most of her attacks were defensive. She did things like charm, and hold person, and enfeeblement to defend herself. If she really wanted us dead, I'm sure there's worse things we could of had thrown at us.

I agree, and the battle would have ended quicker if the crazed mutagenic barbarian didn't keep attacking and the faction quest that seemed to play the party against itself. In fact, I recall asking her to give up and talk. Curtis played it well and basically used the barbarian like a unbalanced piece and redirected his force against us. Of course, I'd suggest buying a resistance cloak to help against that happening again or something that absorbs magic or helps against charms.

I think the Charm bit worked nicely. It kept all the others from trying to jump her too. I'm pretty sure the berserker wasn't the only one trying to kill her.
My bit, I just technically had to deliver a message about seeing someone before she ends up a Chelaxian slave. But what good is telling her that if she's gonna die soon anyway.
My new addition is an amulet to give me +1d6 Acid damage. If you can't break a door, burn it with acid.

I don't think it was our mission to kill her.
Then again, we can't be sure of her intent so braining her a bit wasn't against the, OUR, normal mode of operations.
We actually had her until she switched places with Chris but yeah, not sure if mutyboy was going to kill her or not. It would have been harder for her to cast Black Tenticles and get us all. Oh well.

Now that we have the Cleric, the 6-7 tier isn't looking so scary, I'm willing to go for it if the others agree.
